November, or Novemblurr as I like to call it, brought
the opening of A la Mode Pies , which meant many hours spent at the shop
getting ready We have been getting great reviews and the crew that I get to
spend my days with is so fun, I am blessed.
At some point during the craziness of opening, I had a
birthday. I had been working so much that my body started to rebel and I was
sick as a dog. We really didn’t get to celebrate much, but I was so lucky to
get some of the most thoughtful gifts! My grandma found an antique ‘piping bag’
in her basement that she used to decorate her kid’s birthday cakes with. This
may not seem like a big deal to everyone, but to have this piece of my family’s
past celebrations is priceless to me. I am in love with these little trinkets
and cannot wait until I have a little shop of my own to display them!
I received a couple other super great gifts, (thanks everyone) but I will spare you the show-and-tell session.

The week following my birthday, SMF and I went on our
HONEYMOON!! Stay tuned, I have lots to say about this one!
